When Foster studied mathematics at University of Victoria between 2000 and 2004, Foster saw his classmates and other Chinese international students who booked tickets to China's hometowns at least two times every year. In order to purchase low fare tickets, many students called to several travel agencies and compared their airfares. During the school's study period, Foster started several e-business' projects, such as, CampusEfoods.com, eBig.com etc. In 2004, Foster registered a excellent domain name - FlyGreatChina.com, and he started to design the e-travel website at his dorm of University of Victoria. On 8th, November 2004, Foster launched FlyGreatChina.com (e-travel business) at his dorm of University of Victoria in Victoria, BC, Canada.

From Nov. 2004 to Dec. 2007, FlyGreatChina.com, as an independent agent, partnered with Merit Travel Inc. Victoria branch to develop local Chinese academics market.
